It’s Wednesday and you know what that means: it’s time for another round Connections!

of today NYT Connections suggestions and answers are coming right away.

How to play the links

Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. You get a new puzzle at midnight every day. You can play in NYT the Games website or app.

You are presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by finding the connections between them. Groups can be things like clickable articles, names for research study participants, or words preceded by a body part.

There is only one solution to each puzzle and you will have to be careful when it comes to words that can fit into more than one category. You can mix the words to help you see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, the blue and green fall in between, and the purple group is usually the hardest. The purple group often includes puns.

Choose four words that you think go together and press submit. If you make a guess and are incorrect, you will lose a life. If you’re close to making a correct set, you may see a message telling you that you’re just one word away from getting it right, but you’ll still need to figure out which one to switch.

If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some tips and, if you’re really struggling, today Connections answers. How about me Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share scores with your friends on social media and group chats.

What are the answers to today’s links?

Spoiler alert! Don’t scroll down the page until you’re ready to discover today Connections answers.

This is your last warning!

of today Connections the answers are…

  • Yellow group – covered with a thick layer (CAKE, PALLTE, SMEAR, PLASTER)
  • Green group – things that are inflated (BALLOON, BASKETBALL, LOATIE, TIRE)
  • Blue group — chart types (BAR, BUBBLE, LINE, PIE)
  • Purple group — classic types of cocktails (FIZZ, PUNCH, SLING, SOUR)

I was close but no cigar in terms of perfect play today, but I’ll take back-to-back wins.

My first guess for BALLOON, BUBBLE, TIRES and BASKETBALL was way off. Since I was “one away”, I decided to temporarily abandon that group and go with the other two that first caught my eye: the blues and the yellows. This made the green group more visible, leaving the purples to win.

Although I like to think of myself as a refined gentleman from time to time, I wouldn’t have understood the last group. SOUR and PUNCH are the only ones I’m familiar with.

That’s all there is for today Connections data and response. Be sure to check my blog for tips and the solution for Thursday’s game if you need them.

PS I have a bedtime playlist that usually works well (chill, there) to help me sleep. Many of the songs on there are chill, acoustic versions of some of my favorites, like this take on “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World:
